Description

Tsitelauri was founded in 2018. The idea of establishing a wine company arose after the ancient Georgian traditional method of making wine in pitchers was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013. After getting recognition of the 8000-year-old history and the title "Homeland of Wine", the interest towards the pitcher has increased, hence the desire to make wine in it and produce 100% natural pitcher wine expanded as well.
We incorporated modern approaches to indigenous traditions that allowed us to make more pleasantly drinkable wine in which tannins would be balanced and pleasant to taste.
The grapes are crushed with the help of a clearing machine, thus avoiding high-tannin wine. During 3 months period, it goes through maceration with the grains, and for the next 5 months, we leave only the juice in the pitcher. After 8 months, it is bottled without artificial filtration, because the pitcher has natural filtration, making it unique. The wine continues aging even after bottling, as it is stored in the cellar in a dried state.
we can offer more than 10 categories of wine since 2021.
