Khimshiashvili Cellar is family owned winery
In 1991 Years, a small family winemaking cellar was founded in Village Buknari, Kobuleti and started learning-producing different kind of wines and spirits.
In 2012 Years, Khimshiashvili Cellar planted Tsolikouri grape variety in Village Nigazeuli, Shuakhevi, upper mountain Adjara. vineyards are located from the sea level of 850 metres, surrounded by spruce and fruits trees.
In 2015 Years, Cellar started production of bottled wine Tsolikouri
In 2016 Years, Khimshiashvili Cellar was given an award: ”The Best Family Owned Vineyards” by The Aparchy of Batumi and Lazeti, Georgia. Due to this, family decided to expand the wine production and started to source different variety of grapes in other parts of Georgia.
In 2017 Years, new additinal premises ”Marani/Cellar” was build in Village Buknari, Kobuleti and 25 ”QVEVRI” earthenware vessels were buried in it. its capacity of production is 10 tones of wine and spirits.
In 2017 Years, Khimshiashvili Cellar introduced ”Qvevri Wine Tsolikouri 2016”. The wine participated in Georgian Wine 4TH National Competition and got a high score: 81.
In 2018 Years, Khimshiashvili Cellar managed to produce six type of wines. In Addition, spirits: Chacha and Brandy.
Khimshiashvili Cellar’s main objective is quality of wines-spirits and not its quantities. We strictly following international regulations and making wines in a traditional Georgian way, only in ”Qvevri”
