Georgian Farmers Distribution Company was founded in 2016 with partnering of Georgian Farmers’ Association. The main purpose is to create a sophisticated, simple and continuous supply chain. The company’s mission is to support Georgian farmers in realization their products and to find a new and permanent market for them. Georgian Farmers Distribution Company’s aim is to strengthen local farming organizations and support them in realization of goods locally and internationally. Activities include refrigeration of locally produced products, as well as supplying customers with locally produced products (the company supplies hotels and restaurants). At this stage, the company receives about three hundred types of local products from about two thousand farmers, supplying mainly Georgian horecca sector. As on-going development of Georgian agriculture sector, Georgian Agri-products are on a rise on international market. Georgian Farmers’ Association has the network and demand of export pool, hereby the next step of the development for GFDC is to expand to exportation. Thus, it’s crucial to have the understanding of the process and be the part of TradewithGeorgia network.
