Production of wheelchairs and Assistive technologies for wheelchair users.
Mission
The mission of Georgian Wheelchair Workshop is to support the independent, dignified, and active life of persons with disabilities. The enterprise aims to create an environment where every individual has the opportunity to move freely, use high-quality assistive devices, and participate fully in social life.
Our activities are based on the principles of equality, accessibility, and social responsibility. Through the development of local production and an inclusive employment model, Georgian Wheelchair Workshop not only creates technical products but also contributes to raising public awareness, breaking stereotypes, and strengthening the economic empowerment of persons with disabilities.
Goal
The goal of the enterprise is to improve the independence and quality of life of persons with disabilities living in Georgia by producing and supplying high-quality and affordable wheelchairs and assistive devices. The enterprise also strives to promote inclusive employment practices, create opportunities for professional development for persons with disabilities, and improve their economic well-being.
Georgian Wheelchair Workshop is committed to ensuring that wheelchair users in Georgia live with dignity and independence. Our aim is to design and manufacture reliable, durable wheelchairs and assistive devices that fully meet both regulatory requirements and the individual needs of users.
Our team consists of experienced professionals, including employees with disabilities who are directly involved in the production process. This brings significant social responsibility to our work and makes it even more meaningful. All processes – from product design and manufacturing to delivery and after-sales service – are integrated into one continuous chain. This approach enables us to constantly identify new opportunities and further refine our operations, as ensuring high quality at every stage is our core principle.
The enterprise manufactures both mechanical and electric wheelchairs, including active, pediatric, and all-terrain models, which ensure safe, comfortable, and free mobility across any terrain. We also produce shower and bathroom wheelchairs, ramps, and transfer lifts, and we install various assistive systems to ensure that living, working, and public environments are fully accessible.
Since its establishment, Georgian Wheelchair Workshop has been actively cooperating with the State Care Agency, enabling Georgian citizens to receive wheelchairs produced at the enterprise completely free of charge. Over the years, more than 12,000 wheelchairs and other assistive devices have already been distributed.
Additionally, wheelchairs manufactured in Georgia are successfully exported to various countries, which once again confirms the quality and competitiveness of our products on the international market.
Along with local production, we are the official distributors of Invacare products in the Caucasus and Central Asia, and the official distributors of Lehner products in Georgia. This allows us to offer users assistive devices that meet globally recognized standards and quality.
We continuously monitor global technological developments to provide users with products created using the best available technologies and standards.
In 2025, the enterprise received ISO certification, confirming that both our products and all operational processes fully comply with the highest international standards.
