Founded in the historic Racha region, Ghviara Winery represents centuries-old Georgian winemaking traditions combined with modern technology and precision craftsmanship. Established by Davit Darakhvelidze, a successor of his family’s winemaking heritage, the winery is located in the unique Khvanchkara microzone — a territory renowned for producing wines with distinctive character and elegance.
Our head winemaker brings over 40 years of premium winemaking experience, ensuring that every bottle reflects the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
The vineyards are located on-site and also just 1–1.5 km from the winery, enabling freshly hand-harvested grapes to be processed quickly and carefully. Using advanced Italian equipment, every stage — from destemming to bottling — is performed with meticulous attention to detail, preserving the wine's purity, balance, and natural harmony.
We proudly produce limited editions, including:
Khvanchkara – A premium semi-sweet red wine made from Alexandrouli and Mujuretuli grapes, offering delicate sweetness, smooth texture, and rich berry aromas.
Davino – A refined dry white wine crafted from Rachuli Mtsvane, Tetra, and Tsolikauri grapes, featuring fresh fruit aromas, gentle acidity, and an elegant finish.
