Tako Mekvabidze is a Georgian fashion designer and a founder of a Georgian brand Tako Mekvabidze. International celebrities, including Kendall Jenner, Macy Gray, Keti Melua, Malaika Arora, Lindsey Vonn and many more enjoy wearing clothes designed by Tako.
Early years and education
Tako Mekvabidze was born on July 14, 1985 in Batumi, Georgia. She graduated from Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University, faculty of design in 2006.
Career
Tako Mekvabidze is the founder and the creative director of the brand Tako Mekvabidze. Tako was featured in world class fashion magazines, like French, British, Ukrainian, Russian editions of Vogue, American, Arabian and Brazilian editions of popular French fashion magazine L'Officiel, fashion magazine Zoe etc.
Tako actively participates in fashion shows in Georgia as well abroad, including Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Fashion Week Tbilisi etc.
Tako's latest open air cruise show was held in Batumi Boulevard which caused a lot of buzz in local, as well as international media. The show was covered by Zoe magazine, Who What Wear, L'Officiel.
Tako's collections are featured on the following popular media platforms: Now Fashion, Business Fashion, Fashion Network, LA Fashion Week.
