Château Mukhrani is based on the historical tradition of winemaking in the Kartli region, which represents a long history of Georgian winemaking. This is the first and the true Georgian royal château, which unites four key components: vineyards, winery, palace and history.
Château Mukhrani, as we know it today, started as a wine company in 2002 with a vision to revive the historic Mukhranbatoni estate. Its modern story began when a group of investors led by Dr.Frederik Paulsen Jr. and his dedicated team restored this abandoned territory. The original wine cellar, vineyards, 19th-century palace, and garden had nearly disappeared, but the memory of Ivane Mukhranbatoni lived on.Today, this historic estate near Tbilisi practices full organic viticulture, and in the parts of 102-ha organic vineyards, with international, carries to restore unique grape varieties of the Kartli - emphasizing the uniqueness of this terroir. The winery blends tradition and innovation, producing exceptional wines since the first vintage in 2007. Château Mukhrani focuses on crafting wines exclusively from hand-picked, 100% organic grapes grown only in our own vineyards.
Besides winemaking, since 2011, Château Mukhrani successfully established itself in the wine tourism industry, with a reconstructed palace, cellars, and state-of-the-art facilities. This exquisite destination features two fine dining areas, the Palace Dining Hall and L’Orangerie, providing upscale and diverse event venues, and attracting guests from Georgia and abroad. Château Mukhrani's charm lies in its retold history, thoughtful reinterpretations, and transformed cultural legacy.
