Description

Winery Baadur 1933
Winery Baadur 1933 carries forward nearly a century of family winemaking tradition. A small, family-owned estate located in Sachkhere, the heart of Upper Imereti, it is surrounded by the majestic Racha Mountains to the north, whose cool air and unique terroir shape the region’s distinct wines. The short vegetation period and specific microclimate impart remarkable freshness and character to every vintage.
Winemaking in Imereti itself stands at a fascinating crossroads—bridging classical European white winemaking techniques with the ancient traditions.
From the vineyards of Sachkhere, Kvishkhuri (Gorian Green), Tsitska, and Tsolikouri grapes are carefully harvested and vinified using both Imeretian and classical fermentation methods. The result is wines defined by fresh aromas, elegant texture, and distinctive taste.
Though a newcomer to the international stage, Baadur 1933 has already earned recognition at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC): the 2022 Harvest Kvishkhuri was awarded a Bronze Medal, and in 2024 our Chinuri proudly achieved a Silver Medal and the same competition award in 2025. These honors confirm the exceptional quality and distinctive character of our wines.
Our mission is expansion by cultivating additional indigenous Imeretian grape/ wine varieties, ensuring the legacy of the family and the region continues to thrive.
