LTD” Maknatuna” was founded in 2007. The primary purpose of the company was to introduce a well-known product wrapped in a new way and enter Georgian market. Result did not wait longer and by active support of consumers and hard work of the company staff, on the third year of its establishment, company’s turnover doubled compared to previous year. Parallel to turnover, demand for product used to increase and if firstly the product was available for Imereti and Adjara regions only, in 2012 by opening office in Tbilisi, “Maknatuna” covered the whole country and became the leader on the market. Obviously, financial advance of the company positively affected its technical equipment.
From the beginning of 2011, retooling process of the factory had been constantly going by bringing new equipment and renewing the distribution auto park. Aiming to reach the international standards, a new factory was built in 2012.
In 2013 company established Quality Management System and gained ISO 9001:2008 certificate, which was maintained until the end of 2016. 2016 was a year loaded by innovations for “Maknatuna”: introducing a list of new products, like hulled roasted and raw sunflower seeds as well as the production line of Corn Puffs – Brand under the name “Burbu”. The factory was equipped by relevant machinery. Establishing Food Safety Management System and obtaining ISO 22000:2005 certificate has become the successful end of the year.
